By using CaptionRoll, you agree to these Terms of Service. They are written in plain language so everyone can understand how the service may be used.

1. What CaptionRoll is

CaptionRoll is a browser-based tool that allows users to watch YouTube videos alongside synchronized transcripts for English learning and listening practice. CaptionRoll is not affiliated with Google or YouTube.

2. Acceptable use

  • • Use CaptionRoll for personal and educational purposes.
  • • Do not attempt to scrape, automate, or systematically extract transcript data.
  • • Do not use the service to violate copyrights or intellectual property rights.
  • • Do not reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the platform.

3. YouTube content and availability

Videos and transcripts displayed through CaptionRoll originate from YouTube. We cannot guarantee the availability, accuracy, or continued existence of any video or transcript.

4. Intellectual property

All video content and transcripts belong to their respective creators. The CaptionRoll interface, branding, code, and design belong to CaptionRoll and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

5. No warranties

CaptionRoll is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, transcript accuracy, or support for all videos.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaptionRoll and its team are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of the service.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be resolved through the courts of Jakarta, Indonesia.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms periodically. Continued use of CaptionRoll after updates indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
